Lines Manufacturing is set to revolutionize Large Scale Additive Manufacturing having been founded by three ambitious co-founders from Alsace: Rauf Garip, Niels Pernoux, and Emerik Poursillié. Barely out of their twenties, they launched their startup in February 2022 with a vision to democratize industrial 3D printing through their innovative technology.

A Breakthrough in Polymer Production

“We have created the only machine capable of serially producing high-performance, high-quality, and high-precision polymer parts, up to 8 cubic meters and thousands of pieces annually,” explains Emerik Poursillié. This remarkable achievement stemmed from their participation in an internal competition at their engineering school, where the trio first designed their groundbreaking technology.

From School to Startup: An Entrepreneurial Journey

Winning an innovation contest at their engineering school ignited the entrepreneurial spirit in these young engineers. While studying at INSA Strasbourg, they gradually developed their patented innovation. By addressing challenges encountered during their early professional experiences, they identified a significant need in the market. After proving their concept in 2020 and creating a prototype in 2021, they undertook extensive testing and validation work with clients, leading to the launch of Lines Manufacturing.

Transforming the Industry

Lines Manufacturing’s innovation holds vast potential across various sectors, including automotive, new terrestrial and maritime mobility solutions, and larger industrial groups exploring new concepts or outsourcing optional parts production. Their technology enables clients to reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint by eliminating the need for molds, reshoring production, and saving on raw materials.

Believing that 3D printing is a critical lever for decarbonizing the industry, Lines Manufacturing is committed to working with recycled and recyclable materials, as well as bio-sourced and biodegradable options. As they move into the commercialization phase, the trio faces the future with confidence, having gained recognition as one of the most promising startups, exemplified by their victory in the international Autotech competition hosted by the Automobile Club de France last April.

Looking Ahead

With their innovative technology paving the way for a sustainable future in manufacturing, Lines Manufacturing is poised to make a significant impact on the industry landscape. Their journey is a testament to the power of collaboration, innovation, and resilience.
